"The first 10-rounder of the evening saw 'Halimi' Gutierrez. 114 1/2, Mexico City, drop his opponent, Reyes Escandon, 114 1/2, Durango, twice in the 2nd round and afterward, miss enough punches to lose a close decision. Escandon was cut and had a bloody nose for most of the fight but managed to sneak through a few more punches than the picture boxer Gutierrez for the nod." -Ring Magazine, November 1967 issue
