Lorenzo Scott
Lorenzo Scott served as a member of the United States 82nd Airborne Special Forces in Vietnam, honorably discharged in 1967. Shortly there after he began his amateur boxing career. He is also a trainer and referee in martial art contests and a martial arts blackbelt.

Scott trained area standouts Al Carter, Gary Coats, Govoner Chavers, Roy Caldwell, and Dezi Ford at the now defunct Johnson Athletic Club, run by Clarence Johnson, in Alliance, Ohio. He currently trains IBA Women's World Heavyweight Champion Vonda Ward at the Rubber City Boxing Club in Akron, Ohio.

Scott was inducted into the Canton (Ohio) Negro Oldtimers Athletic Association Hall of Fame on May 28, 2005. Inducted into the Ohio State Former Boxers and Associates Hall of Fame June 5, 2005.
