Unbeaten lightweight prospect Tore Magnussen of Norway travelled to Kiel and got his first loss in a 8 fight career by being outpointed over 8 rounds by local ace Lothar Abend. Southpaw Abend (59 kg) opened carefully against his 2.5 kg heavier and one head taller opponent. Magnussen used time to figure out Abend's southpaw style.
