Louisville Gardens is a multi-purpose, 6,000-seat arena, in Louisville, Kentucky, that opened in 1905, as the Jefferson County Armory. It celebrated its 100th anniversary as former city mayor Jerry Abramson's official "Family-Friendly New Years Eve" celebration location. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Gardens was home of University of Louisville men's basketball from 1945 to 1957, and the Kentucky Colonels of the American Basketball Association from 1967 to 1970. Both teams would move to Freedom Hall.

The arena was known as the Jefferson County Armory until the early 1960s, when it became known as the Convention Center. It became known under it's present name, Louisville Gardens in 1975.

Boxing

During the first half of the 20th century, the Armory usually held the bigger indoors shows in Louisville. It was used less frequently after the Great Depression hit, as most Louisville shows were bargain priced. For much of it's history, the Armory annually held a large show, usually with nationally prominent fighters on the eve of the Kentucky Derby, prior to the first Saturday in May.
