Top contender for a World title at super featherweight and lightweight, Love Allotey of Ghana, made his 9th appearance in a Danish ring, more or less belonging to the Danish community of pros the last two years. With a record of 28-8-0 he faced the inexperienced Brazilian Antonio Paiva ( 9-6-2 ). The fight was a disappointment. The referee stopped the men in the 3rd and gave them a lengthy talk, pleading them for some action. In the 4th they received warnings for passivity. Allotey was the only one who took the referee seriously and he threw good series in the 6th. Nothing much happended in the last 4 rounds. " It was an ordeal to sit through these 10 very very long rounds, " wrote the Berlingske Tidende. " A little music in the background would have helped. "
