Lubby Grant

Lubby Grant of Huntington, West Virginia won the New York Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions over John Komlo of Fredericktown, Pennsylvania a 20-year-old Waynesburg, PA college student by a split-decision. Grant served in the US Army in the South Pacific during World War II where he won several sectional US Army titles.
