In the opening bout to a seven fight card held at the Sovereign Performnig Arts Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, with Rubio-Cuevas the main event bout, Luis Del Valle of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, now fighting out of Newburgh, New York, stopped winless Emmanuel Roses.
Del Valle, now 2-0 with 2 KOs, scored right-left combinations repeatedly on the game but outmatched Roses, now 0-3 and stopped 3 times, who came off the canvas after being knocked down twice, but could do little more than try to survive.
