In 1954 Luke Clark of the Salem Crescent AC won the Novice New York Daily News Golden Gloves' championship stopped Joseph Nestola fighting unattached in the 1st round at heavyweight. He was a three time finalist for the Open New York Daily News Golden Gloves' championship at heavyweight.
