Madison Athletic Club

The Madison Athletic Club, located at 1017 North Monroe Street in Wilmington, Delaware, initiated a 1950s amateur boxing revival in Delaware. Governor J. Caleb Boggs [1] participated in the club's inaugural ceremony, with over 1,800 fight-hungry fans attending, at Fournier Auditorium, promoted by Ralph Tribuani with Walter Bishop participating as club president and trainer.
