"Teenager Armando (Mando) Ramos, 128, used a good combination left to the ribs and right to the jaw to knockout the more experienced Ray Coleman, 129, in the 6th round of their scheduled 10 rounder Thursday night at the Olympic Auditorium. Ramos, 18, had his foe in serious trouble in the 3rd and 4th rounds with hard blows to the head and body, but time ran out before he could put Coleman away. The fight was halted without a count at 1:49 of the 6th round when referee George Latka decided that the battered Coleman had had enough." -United Press International
