"A one-two punch KO'd Argentina's left hook artist Eduardo Lausse in the 7th round as Frenchman Marcel Pigou made a red-hot TV debut. It was a thrilling fight with the Frenchman dragging himself up off the floor in the 5th, when it looked for certain that Lausse had himself another knockout victory, to bounce back with amazing resiliency. Pigou spent the 6th round gathering his senses and opened the 7th by dropping Lausse with a left hook to the chin. Eduardo was up at nine, but unsteady on his legs. With victory within his grasp Pigou swarmed all over Lausse. He had him reeling drunkenly under a savage rally when, at 2:32 of the 7th, referee Arthur Mercante stepped in and led Lausse back to the safety of his corner." -Boxing Illustrated, September 1960 issue
- "It was too hot - I fight myself out in 5th round. I want to fight him again - in Argentina where it is winter and very cold now. Or here in NY, next winter." -Eduardo Lausse
