- Barrios used height and reach advantage to outbox Boschiero for all 12 rounds. Boschiero, who seemed a foot shorter and clearly had to get inside to stand a chance, came in with that game plan in mind. However, his corner soon told him not to pursue it. A few times Boschiero got Barrios caught on the ropes briefly, but that was it. The crowd booed the one-sided contest the whole way. The bout suddenly became very interesting out of the blue when Barrios dropped Boschiero with a left uppercut midway through the twelfth and final round. Boschiero got up. Barrios then aggressively tried to finish him and knock him out. Boschiero went toe to toe with Barrios and gamely fought back, surviving by landing some good head power shots in the process. If Boschiero did for the whole fight, the outcome might have been a different story.
