Bout Summary
Hargrove started aggressively fast and attacked Medal's body with success. He won rounds one, two and three on all three judges scorecards. Mark Medal withstood the big punches of Hargrove during those first three rounds and in the fourth began to land bombs of his own. Hargrove returned to his corner at the end of the 4th round with a right eye that was badly cut and he appeared to be hurt. Hargrove was sent wobbling into the ropes early in round 5, courtesy of a Medal right hand. Hargrove attempted to coverup while pinned against the ropes, but was taking a pounding when referee Paul Venti stopped the fight at 0:49.
