Amateur career

Martin as amateur had record of respectable 220 matches with 190 straight wins.

In 2007 (Chicago - USA) and 2009 (Italy - Milan) participated in the amateur world championship, but failed and fell back in the early rounds.

The best result came at the amateur championship in 2008 in Liverpool, England, where he ended up in the quarters with bulgarian Detelin Dalakliev. On the same championship won a gold medal for example Kubrat Pulev, Oleksandr Usyk and Vasyl Lomachenko.

Martin in 2008 also took part in qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing, where he eventually did not qualified for.

Professional career

Martin Parlagi walked among professionals on November 29, 2011, when in Prague Holešovice Arena destroyed in the first round czech fighter Miroslav Prochazka.

A year later, Martin had already seven professional fights and on December 21 find himself in the contest for the title of Czech Republic in Usti nad Labem with boxer Michal Dufek. The match was very even and the winner was decided by points 98:96 - 95:93 - 96:95.

June 20, 2014 in Belfast was his to date the biggest professional career fight for the WBO European title in the featherweight, where Martin stood up against the Irish star Marco McCullough. In 10-round battle, however, was clearly better McCullough and Martin lost via decision 3: 0 (93:95 - 91:97 - 92:98). Irishman defended his title again in September.

Parlagi tasted bitterness of defeat between professionals.

12/19/2014 Martin knocked-out in the first round polish number two boxer Krzysztof Rogowski.

March 6, 2015 in Trutnov clearly won by points hungarian Oszkar Fika 3x 58:52 and scored 16th win of his career!

On October 30, 2015 in the British Isles Martin fought for the WBO intercontinental title and got a second chance to fight in the prestigious duel. His opponent was the local boxer Ben Jones, although Martin was a better man in the ring he lost the bout on points 94:96 and 93:97 2x . Martins last match took place at December 19, 2015 in his homeland with Jiři Jaroš as opponent, Martin won this time and sent Jaroš three times to the ground and eventually won the match clearly on points.
