In a stinker of a bout that was part of a seven-bout card, Middleweight Marvin Rivera of Allentown, Pennsylvania, 1-1-1 with no KOs, appeared to dominate Philadelphia's Darus Hunter, 2-7-1 with no KOs.
A second round knockdown of Hunter might have been a slip. Hunter got up, and shortly thereafter, an accidental clash of heads caused a deep gash on Hunter's forehead which caused the stoppage of the bout. Under Pennsylvania rules, the scheduled four-round bout was declared a No Contest.
