Matt Skelton 249 lbs beat Kevin McBride 287 lbs by UD in round 3 of 3
Skelton outworked McBride in an ugly first round replete with clinching. This continued until McBride dropped Skelton with a hard right cross in the second round; however, the referee failed to call a knockdown. McBride landed on a hurt Skelton for the remainder of the second, but Skelton returned to outworking McBride during a clinch laden third round. Skelton's higher output earned him a unanimous decision by one point on all three judge's scorecards.
