  • The following day, the Minnesota State Boxing Commission deemed since neither fighter was showing a willingness to punch, the purse of $2191.00 would be withheld with $350.00 distributed to each fighter for training and traveling expenses only. The balance of $1491.00 would be shared by the Community Fund chests of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Rosenbloom originally was to receive $1,195.00 and Braddock $996.00.
  • In return for pledges not to bring legal action to recover the full purse, the Commission agreed not to suspend the fighters or ask for their suspension in other states affiliated with the National Boxing Association.
  • Both fighters and managers denied that the lack of spirit shown by the fighters was due to pre-arrangement.
  • The Commission rejected an offer by the fighters to meet again in an act of good faith. The Commission stated, "One opportunity to fight is enough."
