Katsidis pressured throughout, going to the head and body when he got close. Ramirez moved, and threw combinations in spots when Katsidis got in range. Ramirez would go long periods of time without throwing a punch, choosing to move laterally around the ring as the crowd became restless. Ramirez was down once in round 2, and three times in round 4, although Ramirez always appeared to have his legs under him upon rising. Katsidis lost a point in round 2 for hitting his opponent while he was down when Ramirez slipped.
