According to a June 5, 1929 news item with a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania dateline in the June 6, 1929 edition of the Scranton Republican (Scranton, Pennsylvania) on the Newspapers.com website, Michael Suppy (Mickey Chapin) was suspended for sixty days for fouling his opponent in Dunmore, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1929.

According to an obituary found in the July 10, 1933 edition of the Scranton Republican, George Suppy, a member of a well-known athletic family, died in a hospital after a long illness. He followed his brother, "Mickey Chapin," into the sport of boxing.

According to the Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014, one Michael Suppy was born on March 11, 1905 and died during May 1980 with his residence being in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the time of his death.
