"Mike Nixon, 160, Glendale, Calif., proved the aggressor but couldn't catch his dancing opponent Thursday night as he fought to a 10 round draw with Rico Dineros, 160, Puerto Rico, in a 10 round middleweight bout at the Olympic Auditorium. There were no knockdowns in the fight although Nixon's eye was badly cut by a 6th round bomb thrown by Dineros. Dineros, however, bled from the mouth and nose from the 7th round on and danced away from his opponent in the later rounds." -United Press International
