- Hunter wrestled / threw Oliver to the canvas in the first. As Oliver got up, Hunter knocked him out with a left hook without going to the neutral corner.
- Referee Benjy Esteves Jr. disqualified Hunter. It appeared Esteves might have been out of position and did not react fast enough to send Hunter to the neutral corner.
- Hunter cried foul after the disqualification, claiming he was just defending himself from the attacking Oliver.
- The bout was appealed for a 'no-contest' with the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission, to no avail.
