"Light heavyweight veteran Andy Kendall avenged a controversial 1971 loss to Mike Quarry Wednesday night by slugging out a majority decision in their 10 rounder at the Orlando Sports Stadium. Before 2,311 fans, Kendall of Portland, Ore., rallied in the final three rounds to pull slightly ahead on points in the bout, which was even during the early going. There were no knockdowns and both fighters suffered cuts - Quarry in the 2nd and Kendall in the 5th." -United Press International
