In a big step up, undefeated Milan Melindo, with only 17 fights on his belt, fights former International Boxing Federation Minimumweight Champion, and veteran of 73 fights, Muhammad Rachman.
Rachman would be the first current or former world champion Melindo will face.
Melindo is coming off a third-round technical knockout of Tanzanian Juma Fundi while Rachman is coming off a close ten-round unanimous decision win against Filipino Edrin Dapudong.
Melindo is 2-0 (0 KOs) versus Indonesian fighters while Rachman is 10-1-1 (3 KOs) versus Filipino fighters coming into the fight.
This will be Rachman's first fight in the Philippines.
Rachman is 0-1-1 outside his native Indonesia and hasn't fought outside his home country for the last 13 years.

Melindo pressed the action early on and proved to be the better fighter as the bout wore on, out-boxing Rachman for most of the fight. Rachman, to his credit, managed to win some rounds. He never gave up and kept trying to catch the younger, and much faster Melindo, but to no avail, eventually losing a ten-round unanimous decision by scores of 97-93, 98-92, and 96-94, all for Melindo.
