Norbeck was also a professional wrestler, as well as a professional boxer. Apparently he started his wrestling career in Oregon City, OR, in 1913. Opponents included Frank Kendall, Hugh Kellogg, and Pinkie Lewis. He fought/wrestled as Ben Bordsen early during his career (from 1914 on). In 1914, he took a trip around the world, wrestling "in practically every country." For four or five years prior to 1926, he had been boxing and wrestling throughout the Pacific Northwest of the United States, mostly in small towns. Per the DNS of July 17, 1926, Norbeck also was a jui-jitsu expert, a strongman, and generally an all-round athlete. His round-the-world trip had taken him to Japan, China, India, Egypt, Australia, Africa, and South America. He retired from boxing circa 1924 after a KO-2 over Jack Horner at Portland, OR. By 1926, he was working with the Levitz-Brown-Huggins Carnival.
