Morlon Greenwood is a former NFL linebacker who began boxing professionally in 2012 at the age of 33. He was born in Jamaica alongside seven brothers and four sisters and moved to the United States where he attended Freeport High School in New York. He primarily played soccer and wrestled, but too participated in football his senior year. As a senior in football, he was an All-County and All-State selection, and he won the New York state wrestling title in the 215 lb. class. Following high school, Greenwood attended Syracuse University and played both soccer and football. In football, Greenwood was a four-year starter and was named to the all-conference first team in 2000. He was drafted in the third round (88th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins where he was a four-year starter through the 2004 season. In 2005, he signed a five-year, $22.5 million dollar contract with the Houston Texans where he played for four seasons. Following the 2008 season, Greenwood was released by the team. He signed a free agent contract with the Oakland Raiders but never played a game for the team. In 2010, Greenwood played for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.
