Music Hall or (Music Hall Arena) is a premier classical music performance hall in Cincinnati, Ohio. Which currently serves as the home of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival Chorus, and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Built in 1878 and located at 1241 Elm Street, it was named a National Historic Landmark in January 1975 by the U.S. Department of the Interior. Music Hall was built over a pauper's cemetery, which has helped fuel its reputation as one of the most haunted places in America.

Boxing

The Music Hall was used occasionally as a venue in the 1910s. It became Cincinnati's primary indoor venue in late 1926, as the growing popularity of the sport in Cincinnati necessitated a larger indoor arena than the People's Theater. At the time of it's inauguration as a regular venue in Cincinnati, capacity for boxing was 3,500, with an additional 700 first-class ringside seats along the stage. In January 1928, capacity for boxing was increased to 6,000. Music Hall continued to draw all of Cincinnati's bigger indoor cards until 1949, when the Cincinnati Gardens opened. Still the venue held numerous cards through the 1950s as boxing began to wane in popularity, with the last show in the venue being held in 1968.
