- McLean was a last minute replacement.
- Poulard let his hands go at will on McLean, who did little more than stand in front of Poulard and cover up.
- McLean was down to a knee in round 2 after a right uppercut. Poulard continued to attack, and McLean was down to his knees again in the corner. McLean stayed in the corner until the referee reached the count of 10, and got up a few seconds later.
