"Karel Sys, 40 year old Belgian heavyweight, quit in the 4th round of his scheduled 10 round bout with Nino Valdes of Cuba tonight. Sys, stopped only once before in a 22 year fighting career encompassing 107 fights, drew a round of loud boos when he decided he'd had enough with six seconds to go in the 4th round.
