Oleg Taktarov rose to fame in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The event pits fighters with various fighting backgrounds (jui-jitsu, Kick-boxing, boxing, Judo,etc.)in an octogan shaped fighting area. The rules are almost non existant.

Oleg went 1-1 in UFC 5, then returned to win UFC 6 with three consecutive victories in one night. All victories came by submissions. Oleg's legend was made, and his reputation as a submission specialist affirmed.

Oleg returned in the Ultimate Ultimate, a tournament with all the best fighters from the previous UFC tournaments. Facing the best of the best Oleg made it to the finals, loosing by decision.

Oleg left the UFC, and went on the fight in various other events. He crossed trained his grappling skills with boxing to be the best fighter he could possibly be.

His only pro boxing match came against powerlifter Hank Hill. The fight was actually reported by Ring magazine, and Oleg was praised by the well respected magazine as seeming well-suited for the pro boxing ranks.

Oleg no longer fights, and has since made it to feature films.
