Oliver Shanks of Montreal and Edmonton, scored a clean-cut one-round knockout victory over Babe Beattie, of Sherbrooke, last night in the feature bout on a boxing card here. Shanks caught the local battler with a smashing blow high on the side of the head and Beattie dropped for a nine count. A hard right to the cheek finished the job at the one-minute mark.
