"Argentine heavyweight Oscar Bonavena outpointed Zora Folley of Chandler, Ariz., in a 10 round fight Saturday night. Bonavena, 206 1/2, was the aggressor throughout the bout while Folley, 215 1/2, was content to fight a defensive battle. Bonavena's victory avenged a loss to Folley in 1965. The American fighter received a slight cut above the right eye midway through the bout which two judges awarded to Bonavena while the third official called it a draw." -United Press International
