He died in September 1930 from a fall from scaffolding in Liverpool. A tribute was made in The Stadium News magazine, and Programme Oct 2nd 1930, by Johnny Best, he gave condolences, said Paddy was a good honest sports man, nothing could be better said than “He Played the game” Paddy was about 19yrs old when he died
