"Paolo Rosi, the Italian who now calls New York his home, was clamoring for a shot at the lightweight title today on the strength of a revenge victory over Baby Vasquez of Mexico. Vasquez scored an upset TKO over Rosi last December at Miami, but the Italian slugger came back to gain a split decision in their 10 round rematch Friday night. Rosi lost his first fight with Vasquez because of cuts. Neither fighter was hurt in the rematch and there were no knockdowns." -United Press
