In the main event of a seven bout boxing card at Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, co-sponsored by Team Snooki and First Round Promotions, Irish featherweight Irish Patrick Hyland of Dublin, Ireland, went to 25-0, 11 kayos, with an eight round unanimous decision over tough Emmanuel Lucero of Mexico City, Mexico, now 26-9-1, 14 kayos. The bout was hard fought by both participants, with Hyland using height and reach advantage to win the first three rounds behind his jab. Lucero changed tactics and went to the inside in rounds four, five and six, going to war in center ring inside a telephone booth with attacks and counterattack from both fighters. Rounds seven and eight appeared even, with both fighters still working to the body inside, but the action alternated from center to along the ropes and then back.Perhaps Hyland was a bit more aggressive and threw and landed more blows by volume to win this decision, but the bout appeared close. Both fighters entered the ring and emerged from the bout in top condition. Mostly a clean bout, nice refereeing job by Samuel Viruet.
