Bout Summary
Lupo badly hurt Clavette in round three, and appears on the cusp of scoring a stoppage victory. However, Clavette managed to survive the round. From the fourth to the seventh round, Clavette continuously beat his opponent to the punch, while Lupo appeared gassed. Lupo came out aggressively in the eighth round and won it on two of the three scorecards. Only judge Robert Gay awarded the round to Clavette, giving him the majority decision.
