Miller competed in the Middleweight class at the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. He was a Gold Medalist at the 2002 British Commonwealth Games. His sister Gail was a gold medalist at the 2000 Olympic Games (water polo) and is married to the Rugby international Ben Tune, a member of the 1999 Australian (Wallaby) team that won the 1999 World Cup.
