In perhaps the best bout on the Cotto-Foreman undercard in the new Yankee Stadium, Irish fighter Moore appeared to win the first two rounds by landing power shots thrown at a distance. Polish fighter Wolak changed style in round three, outworking Moore on the inside and throwing more punches from that point on, winning rounds four through seven on aggression, with Moore on the ropes too much, though the majority of the punches thrown did not land. Moore took the fight to Wolak in the last three rounds, which were closer. Moore appeared to tire abit as the middle rounds progressed and the extreme heat took its toll, with humid temperatures in the new Yankee Stadium around 83 degrees Fahrenheit. The crowd applauded the decision, which appeared correct.
