Norwegian featherweight Willy Olsen tried again and faced the unbeaten Finn Pentti Rautiainen. In the first two rounds Olsen showed his dazzling speed and fancy footwork from his amateur days,but he quickly ran out of gas. Powerfull series from the Finn dropped Olsen in the 5th. He was dropped again in the 6th and didn't beat the count, although he was given a long count by the debuting Norwegian referee Kåre Gundersen.
Manager John W Wiksen used to tell the following story from this fight: Fighter Olsen and referee Gundersen knew each other well.As Gundersen started to count out his friend this conversation is said to have taken place in the ring:
