Stanley Zaronsky was a member of 17th Ordnance. He arrived in the Philippine Islands in September 1941. On December 8th, December 7th in the United States, he lived through the Japanese attack on Clark Airfield. He became a Prisoner of War on April 9, 1942, and took part in the Bataan Death March. He was held at Camp O'Donnell where he died of illness.

Zaronsky's brother also boxed under the last name Lawrence, as Joey Lawrence.
