Dortmund, Germany. Peter Mueller 158, was handed a sacrificial goat in the person of Mohamed Sayib, a Syrian just commencing his professional career. After playing around for five rounds, Mueller knocked his man out, didn't hear the count correctly and attacked Sayib after the ref had counted him out.

[Mohamed Sayib went into this fight with the 146- fight veteran Mueller with only one fight behind him, a draw. As Mohamed Sahib he became a household name in the European middleweight division for the next 12 years, fighting almost everybody and retiring in 1972 with a 5-43-3- record.]
