Bout Summary

A short left hook buckled the knees of Hunter at 0:12 of the opening round. Quillin came forward and threw a barrage before Anthony was able to tie him up. Following the referee's break, Quillin landed a left hook, straight right combination at 0:30 that locked Hunter's knees and sent him falling backwards heavily into the ropes. Despite the ropes clearly keeping Hunter from going down, the referee did not rule a knockdown and action continued as Quillin had already turned around to celebrate. Quillin spun around quickly, pressed his opponent up against the ropes, and threw a flurry that put Hunter down at 0:40. He was up at the count of five and despite being badly staggered was allowed to continue. Quillin rushed out and threw a single left hook the sent Hunter stumbling into a corner and down for the second time at 1:00. Hunter used the ropes to pull himself up at the count of five. Following the mandatory eight-count, the referee waved an end to the fight.
