"The main bout of the evening brought together Pierre Fourie and Tom Bogs of Denmark. And what a revelation in the boxing by Fourie who scored a clear cut victory over the man who had dropped John Conteh. Fourie won all but the 3rd round but the plucky Dane kept moving forward most of the fight. Fourie's left was constantly in the Dane's face and Bogs head was popping back with the stream of blows that Fourie was able to tag him with. In the 9th Bogs was cut over the right eye but his corner did a good job of stopping the bleeding. Fourie staggered his man with hooks and when he switched to southpaw in the 6th the poor luckless Bogs was confused as blows tagged him to head and body without reply.
