Ralph Gillbreath

Born on February 28, 1922 in Huntington Beach, Ralph Gillbreath lived in Long Beach for nearly 80 years. Having graduated from Long Beach Poly in 1940, he married his high school sweetheart, Ardyne, and were married for 59 years. Ardyne graduated from Long Beach Poly in 1943. Gillbreath owned and operated B&G Maintenance which served the greater Long Beach/Signal Hill area for more than 45 years. He was a past president of the Signal Hill Lions Club, founding board member of the Lions Drag Strip, member of the Long Beach Elks, Masonic Lodge and President of the Golden Gloves Association. Died of cancer earlier July 2, 2002.

Inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame - 2005
