Randy Brookman, Born March 2, 1948 to James Wesley Usrey and Mary Eunice Alsup, in Sikeston, Missouri. Raised in Webster Groves, Missouri. Hard hitting amatuer fighter out of Little Rock, Arkansas in the early 70's. Won 12 or his last 13 amatuer fights by KO. Trained by Bobby Holderfield and Buddy Holderfield. Started boxing at the age of 25 and 10 months later was Runner-Up Jr. Middleweight Golden Gloves Champion. A lot of people in the know claimed he could have "Been a Contenda", but he left boxing for a career in law enforcement.
His trainer, Bobby Holderfield, who was once ranked #5 by Ring Magazine said, "Randy hit me harder than anyone ever hit me! He could put you to sleep with one punch from either hand."
