"Mexican lightweight champ Raul Soriano, 141 1/2, of Mexicali, sored a 4th round knockout over Charlie Watson, 146 1/2, of Phoenix, last night at the Municipal Auditorium. After boxing on even terms through the first three rounds, Soriano floored Watson with a paralyzing left hook to the body and a right cross to the head. Referee Felipe Amador counted Watson out at 1:47 of the round." -United Press International
