Bonti suffered a serious head injury when he was knocked out by a right hand to the jaw in the 3rd round. Bonti lapsed into a coma immeadiately after the knockout, he was taken to the hospital after army doctors failed to revive him for 15 minutes. Bonti died early in the morning of August 16th.
