Floyd Patterson's kid brother Ray Patterson drew with Brazilian light heavyweight Renato Moraes over 8 rounds. Patterson was staggered by a hard left hook by Moraes in the 5th. He won the last rounds when Moraes tired.
2,500 saw the fight in Patterson's hometown Gothenburg where he had been living since the early 1960's. He had followed his brother Floyd on his many Sweden- visits when Floyd and Ingo boxed exhibition fights all over the country and signing pictures and autographs. On one of these visits Ray met a Swedish girl whom he married.
