Ray Pryel had several managers during his career:

  • Joe Choynski (1916-17)
  • Charlie Kolb (1917-18)
  • Fred Kelley (1918-21)
  • Dan Morgan (1921)
  • Red Mason (1921-22)
  • Jersey Jones (1922-24)

An article on Pryel, by Harry Keck, appeared in the Pittsburgh Post, November 11, 1917. It provided a list of his early bouts, but no dates or locations were given. It did give his full amateur record of 52 fights, in which his only losses were to Eddie Carver, Vincent Pokorni, Harry Carlson, and Billy Gleason.

Not included in this record are a few professional fights listed in record books, but not yet verified from newspaper accounts. These are with Philly Lewis, Vincent Pokorni (likely their Dec 28, 1914 amateur bout), and Johnny Donnelly (all 1921).
