In the walkout bout on the the Tsurkan-Feliciano fight card at Utopia Paradise Theatre, eighteen year old Welterweight Raymond Serrano Jr. of Philadelphia won his fifth straight bout, a four round decision over Damon Antoine of Akron, Ohio. The walkout bout was not televised by ESPN, but it appeared to be the best bout of the evening. Serrano, who had 177 amateur bouts, was the aggressive attacker from the start, using jabs and combinations to score points on Antoine, who landed some counter jabs but spent the entire fight throwing wild one punch bombs which missed Serrano, and tieing Serrano up when he didn't land. The bout was interesting for one reason: Antoine, now 7-24-1, appeared to be in the best physical condition of any fighter on the seven bout card despite his record, and went toe-to-toe with Serrano to the final bell in a war. The bout brought the crowd to its feet around the ring, some standing on seats to see the nonstop action. At the time this bout occurred, 10 of loser Antoine's last 11 opponents had a combined record of 61-0, and he had beaten two of them.
