- St-Juste and Lemaire were scheduled to fight in separate bouts. When both their opponents pulled out shortly before the scheduled date, the promoter decided to pit the two featured attractions against each other.
- With Lemaire pursuing his opponent, St-Juste turned on an explosive left hook that knocked Lemaire completely senseless. Immediately down and out cold, referee Gerry Bolen made no hesitation in waiving this one off with St-Juste defiantly standing in front of the crowd, hands on hips.
